Northeast January-2 2015: Cidade Maravilhosa....... Pão de Açúcar e Cristo

Nós acordamos cedo, às 8 horas para ir ao bonde e nos dirigirmos ao Pão de Açúcar. Quando o bonde subiu, deu para olhar a região onde a gente estávamos hospedado e o maravilhoso mar de Copacabana.

We woke up early, at 8am to go to the cable car and the Sugar Loaf hill. When the cable car went up we could see the whole part where we were staying and the wonderful Copacabana beach.

No percurso do bonde para chegar ao Pão de Açúcar a gente fez uma parada na primera montanha, a vista foi impressionante! Não dá para acreditar a maravilhosa cidade que você tem em frente aos seus olhos, mas a vista mais impressionante iria se vista ainda mais adiante.

On the cable car way to get to the Sugar Loaf we did a stop on the first mountain and the view was unbelievable! You can't believe the wonderful city you have in front of your eyes, but the most impressive view was yet to come.

Depois de um tempo a gente subiu ao outro bonde para chegar a cima da outra montanha e ver quase toda a cidade do Rio de Janeiro. Na volta, vimos um macaquinho.

After a while we got on another cable to get to the other mountain and see almost the whole city. On our way back we saw a little monkey.

Depois nos fomos ao almoço dentro um shopping muito grande e bem legal, o Botafogo Praia Shopping, onde dava para comprar muitas coisas, nos queríamos fica mais tempo no shopping, mas nos precisamos ir pra o Cristo Redentor já que um trem estava esperando por nós. O caminho foi incrível, parecia uma floresta, eu fiquei pensativa só para olhar do lado da janela. Finalmente nos chegamos ao Cristo, e eu comecei a chorar muito porque foi muito emocionante. O Cristo representa meu intercambio inteiro, foi o ponto máximo do meu intercambio. Meu sonho foi realizado. Nós ficamos uma hora para tirar as fotos tradicionais, foi muito complicada porque tinha muita gente e muito calor, um calor insuportável. Foi muito cansativo então tudo mundo foi embora completamente morto. Foi um dia maravilhoso, um dia inesquecível.

After that we went to a really big and cool mall to have lunch, the Botafogo Praia Mall, where we could buy many things. We wanted to stay more at the mall but we had to go to the Christ since there was a train already waiting for us. The way there was incredible, it looked like a forest and I got really pensive looking out the window. When we finally got to the Christ I started to cry a lot because it was really emotional. It represents my whole exchange year and it was it's highest point. My dream come true. We stayed an hour taking those traditional tourist pictures, and it was really complicated because there were many people there and the it was really hot, almost unbearable hot. It was really tiring so everyone was dead on their feet. It was a wonderful, unforgettable day.
